Platform for Lloyd Jeffrey Mallan
Libertarian Candidate for U.S. Senate
General Objectives
Decentralize Government and the growing proliferation of government controls.
Restore The Bill of Rights.
Return to constitutional government.
Hawaiian Sovereignty
I support Hawaiian Sovereignty.
I support a Congressional resolution declaring that The United States has unlawfully overthrown the Hawaiian monarchy in 1893 with the subsequent annexation of Hawaii by the United States in 1898 and currently maintains an unlawful jurisdiction over the people of Hawaii.
Sell all ceded
lands and occupied military lands, with native Hawaiians to receive the first
bid.
Oppose Senator Akaka's bill, S.2899, which essentially places native Hawaiians
on a reservation, while effectively ending their claims to restitution and self
governance.
Support a public referendum to answer the question whether the State of Hawaii should peaceably secede from The United States.
Abolish The Bureau of Indian Affairs because of the tyranny it inflicts upon indigenous peoples.
Law and Order
Drug prohibition is destroying our constitution and the rights of all American citizens. Because of the government's oppressive drug policies, international stability has been threatened fueling the fires of war along with civil strife.
Free all non violent drug offenders.
The United States congress must pay restitution to all those arrested or convicted of drug laws.
Prevent the legislation of morality.
Privatize police services and prisons. Encourage rehabilitation and restitution, instead of punishment for violent offenders. The present government owned prison system tortures those incarcerated and is a crime to humanity.
Abolish The Federal Death Penalty. Encourage the abolishment of death penalties everywhere.
Economics and Domestic Affairs
Privatize all government services.
Phase out U.S. Customs.
Phase out The Immigration and Naturalization Service.
Abolish immigration laws and quotas.
Reduce the growth of the military. Discourage military thinking among politicians.
No rockets on Kauai!
Stop Federal Aid to state governments which have contributed to the present growth of a police state and dependence on government.
Stop making children, young people and elderly adults wards of the State.
Abolish the Internal Revenue Service.
Abolish the income tax.
Eliminate taxation. Until taxation can be completely abolished, only allow minimal tariffs and excise taxes, as has existed from the very origination of the United States for 130 years after the creation of the republic.
Abolish the Federal Reserve System. Return to a more stable monetary policy like the gold standard, stabilizing our currency, which now fluctuates uncontrollably. Doing this would have the effect of making the congress and the executive more accountable for the spending they incur, while stimulating a healthier economy.
Only approve Supreme Court justices that would respect the inalienable rights of all citizens, as defined in the Bill of Rights.
Foreign Policy
Stop the War on Terrorism.
Respect the sovereignty of all nations.
Stay out of the affairs of other countries.
No more military interventions.
No more military and para-military aid to other nations with money, weapons or military assistance.
No more wars!
Stop attempting to stabilize and destabilize foreign governments or creating new governments that are formed to exist under the sphere of influence of The United States.
Encourage free trade instead of economic sanctions and military incursions.
Abolish The Central Intelligence Agency.
Abolish all secretive government agencies and activities which spy on American citizens and the citizens of other nations.
If The United States is a beacon of liberty, other countries will follow suit.
