Musicology, play the 'cello, two original plays produced at Penn State's Five O'clock Theater.

1969-1971 M.F.A., Drama, Carnegie-Mellon University
Playwriting-directing emphasis. Had two original plays produced? Founder of The Pittsburgh Poor Players.


EMPLOYMENT

1965-1967 U.S. Peace Corps. Volunteer, India
Started Poultry Farms and Hybrid Hatcheries, Rural Community Development, Projects in villages, Taught drama at St. Paul's High School, Indore, M.P., India, directed children's
plays.

1967-1969 Caseworker, Child Welfare Services, Protective services, Pittsburgh, Pa.

1971-1975 Assistant Professor of Dramatic Arts, Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Taught acting, directing, Playwriting, children's theater, dramatic literature, directed plays.

1975-1986 Creative Director, Ascot Productions
Ghost writing for Robin Moore, author of The French Connection, produced commercials, ghost wrote novels.

1986-1995 Project Director and founder of Eutropian Productions, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the dissemination of good will through the arts and sciences. Worked in impoverished areas of California and Hawaii doing arts fairs, fashion shows, and theater, originated the Downtown Players in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, directed The American Dream by Edward Albee, The Zoo Story by Edward Albee. The Marriage Proposal by Anton Chekov.

1990-1999 Ghost wrote three books. Chasing Moonlight, an autobiography of Julian Ritter, Pinetop, a story about Pinetop Smith, father of boogie-woogie, Test of Faith, the story of Cantor Leo Fettman, holocaust survivor.
1995-present. Project Director, Artful Expressions of Hawaii, Ltd. Internet marketing including web design, photography, electronic publishing.

Dramatic Vitae

Originated The Pittsburgh Poor Players, (Artistic Director) producing original plays and later "off Broadway" plays. Two productions of The Merger by Lloyd Jeffrey Mallan.
Collage, an original multi-media ensemble drama by Lloyd Jeffrey Mallan produced at Mary Washington College, University of Northern Colorado, (won first place in theater festival.)La Mamma Hollywood, The Garden Theater Festival in Los Angeles.
Directed Plays: Don Juan by Moliere, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Jay Pressen Allen, The Crucible by Arthur Miller, The Love of Don Perlimplin and Belissa in The Garden by Federico Garcia Lorca. The Zoo Story by Edward Albee, The American Dream by Edward Albee, The Marriage Proposal by Anton Chekov.
Acting Experience: Lenny in Of Mice and Men, Ensemble member in Dracula by Leon Katz, Mayor in Inherit The Wind, The doctor in David and Lisa, Claudius, the king in Hamlet by Shakespeare, more.
